Timothy A. Shultz Named Associate General Counsel at Stormont Vail Health
Stormont Vail Health has announced Timothy A. Shultz will join the regional healthcare organization as Associate General Counsel, Risk and Safety. He will begin his new duties in December, 2021.
Shultz is an attorney with more than 28 years of business, banking, insurance, healthcare law, long term care and nursing home law, corporate law and litigation experience. He has been an attorney with Goodell, Stratton, Edmonds & Palmer, LLP, since 2015, and was named managing partner in 2020. He previously served as an attorney with several law firms in Topeka, Kansas City, Mo., Manhattan and Dodge City.
Shultz is admitted to practice in Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri and Nebraska state courts and U.S. District Courts in Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Western District of Missouri, Nebraska, and the Western District of Oklahoma and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and Minnesota bar associations, the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
A graduate of the Washburn University School of Law, Shultz has a Bachelor of Arts degree, with majors in history and political science, from Washburn and an Associate’s Degree from Dodge City Community College. He has served as the chairman and commissioner for the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, is the current chair of the Kansas Children’s Service League Board of Directors, has served on the board and as a volunteer with Haiti Lifeline Ministries, Inc., and is a member of the 2018 class of Leadership Greater Topeka.
