EnvistaCares Challenge Highlights Strategic Leadership Academy

Envista Credit Union is pleased to announce that it will highlight Strategic Leadership Academy through the EnvistaCares Challenge during the month of October. Envista is challenging the community to give to Strategic Leadership Academy, and for every dollar given to the organization during the month of October, Envista will match up to $2,500. Giving can be done online at www.envistacares.com.

Envista will provide Strategic Leadership Academy with a media package that includes billboards, emails, social media and radio. In addition, Envista has added the creation of a personalized video to the package of benefits to help Strategic Leadership Academy share their message and encourage members of the community to not only give, but to join in and consider becoming a partner.

“The Strategic Leadership Academy helps adult minorities of color gain insight into how the best business and community leaders think. As participants develop their capacity for self-awareness and strategic thinking, they hone the skills necessary to lead at a high level in their careers and community organizations,” said Renee Franklin, board president for Strategic Leadership Academy.

“It’s our goal to give a voice and shine a spotlight on organizations that are doing exceptional work in our community,” said Tara Dimick, chief business development officer for Envista. “We want to support Strategic Leadership Academy as the volunteers of this organization are invested in our community and work tirelessly to make our community better.”

The Strategic Leadership Academy (SLA) mission is to develop and refine leadership skills of minorities of color. They strive to develop leaders who are prepared to be successful in their workplace and to positively shape their community and state. SLA participants are employed in various professions, representing all levels of government, non-profits and private employers. The training they receive enables them to be uniquely prepared to assume leadership roles in their professional and community endeavors. The high level training the SLA provides allows the graduates to understand the goals and objectives of senior leaders and chief executive officers.
