Hospitalist Sumiran Racherla, M.D., joins Stormont Vail Health

Stormont Vail Health is proud to announce that Sumiran Racherla, M.D., has joined our team to practice as a hospitalist, located at Stormont Vail Hospital, 1500 S.W. Tenth Ave., Topeka, Kan., 66604. 

A passion for science led Dr. Racherla to choosing to become a physician. The decision to become a hospitalist came after medical school when he wanted to work in a specialty that allowed him to be involved in all specialties within a health system.

“I have learned from my experience that when you listen to the patients, they will often give you the answer to their care,” said Dr. Racherla. “I take the time to hear why they are in the hospital but also what concerns they have; clearly explaining what their care plan is and answering their questions along the way. The best part of my job is seeing where they start on day one to when they are able to walk out of their hospital room.”
