Wheatfield Village Adds Lodging
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel located on the North side of the shopping and entertainment district opened late last month.
Jim Klausman is the co-owner of Wheatfield Village and said the shopping area was designed to host both residents and out-of-town visitors.
“Wheatfield Village was designed to give residents of Topeka and our city’s visitors a great place to enjoy time with friends and family,” said Klausman.
With top-notch amenities like a 24-hour fitness center, indoor pool, and hot breakfast buffet each morning, SpringHill Suites offers travelers a terrific stay experience, but the rest of Wheatfield Village gives the hotel a unique advantage.
“SpringHill Suites is a fantastic hotel in its own right,” said Klausman. “But what makes its unlike anything else in the area is the entertainment and dining options just a few steps away.”
Wheatfield Village is also home to The Wheatfield 9 Theater by B&B Theaters, Johnny’s Tavern, PT’s Coffee, and SPIN! Pizza.
“There is no other hotel in the area that offers guests dinner, a movie, and an award-winning cup of coffee within walking distance,” said Klausman.
According to Jessica Miner, General Manager of SpringHill Suites, guests are enjoying the neighboring businesses.
“We’ve seen many guests walk over to SPIN! Pizza or Johnny’s Tavern, and the theater is very popular, too,” said Miner. “Having these options so close makes it easy for guests to get out and enjoy the area. They don’t need to look anything up or try to navigate an unfamiliar city – it’s all right here.”
Wheatfield Village is also in talks to add multi-family apartments to the complex. More details will be announced on the apartments in the coming months.
