Who are your heroes?
Captain Bill Taylor and Bill Roy Jr. Both men played important roles in my life. Captain Taylor always pushed me to learn as much as I could absorb in the fire service to make me a better firefighter. And Bill Roy molded me as a young man going through Big Brothers Big Sisters while pushing me to find purpose in life.
What do you hope your legacy will be?
I hope my legacy will be that I was always there to help people, no matter what walk of life they came from. Also hoping the youth sports I've coached throughout the years have made a difference.
How has the current situation impacted your thoughts on leadership?
I want to see how others see leadership in their professions. I understand how it works in the fire service but would like input on how the corporate system works.
What superpower would you choose?
The power of healing. There’s no reason to have a superpower if it is self-serving. A power should be used to help people.
What's something on your bucket list?
Anything where I can spend time with my family, such as family vacations and working on their school or home projects.
