Forge Young Talent Announces 2021 Forge Leadership Team Chair and Chair-Elect

Forge Young Talent announced that Del-Metrius Herron, realtor with Keller Williams Realtor Partners, LLC, and Justin Moore, principal at Royal Valley USD 337, have assumed the roles of the 2021 Forge Chair and Chair-Elect, respectively. These roles support Forge’s Leadership Team, a volunteer base that leads many of Forge’s initiatives (referred to as “Herds”).

“I am thrilled to have both Del-Metrius and Justin representing Forge in their new roles. I know they will elevate the organization while also helping to propel us forward in 2021 and beyond,” remarked Kelli Maydew, executive director of Forge. “The Topeka community is extremely lucky to have these two, and I am looking forward to their new visions, ideas and energy.”

“I am really looking forward to working with Kelli and Justin this year. I had the pleasure of working with Justin while I was on the Leadership Herd. He is truly a servant leader and is always willing to put in a helping hand to make sure the mission is accomplished. Kelli has just hit the ground running in her role and has brought some great ideas that I think will impact the organization for years to come. We are really going to be a dynamic trio.”

“As Chair, I am most excited about connecting with the young talent in Forge and in the city to understand what is important to them,” continued Herron. “I am also excited for the example that Forge is setting for our community. We currently have one of the most diverse boards I have ever seen. I hope other community leaders look at how we are leading in this area.”

“I am humbled and excited to be named the Forge Chair-Elect. Topeka is a place I have called home for almost 7 years now,” said Moore. “In these 7 years, I have learned that Topeka is a place where families can thrive, businesses can succeed, and individuals can give back. I look forward to being a small part of the continued movement that is looking to be achieved as we move forward in 2021.”
