Positively Soap & Candle Co., located in the lower level of Topeka Vendors Market, is owned by the husband and wife team of Shawnette and Darryl (Will) Williams and offers hand-poured candles, handcrafted soaps, and handmade bath & body products. Whether you are looking for a Valentine for your sweetheart, a Galentine gift for your BFF, or something to pamper yourself, Positively Soap & Candle Co. has a beautiful and great-smelling assortment of products. Positively Soap & Candle Co. products are locally made in small batches using top-quality products, giving the utmost care and attention to each individual item.

As licensed Resilience Trainer/Coaches, Shawnette and Darryl sought tools to help their clients. "We understand that people will face challenges every day. What is important is how we navigate those challenges. We have always worked to shift our emotions and environment through using fragrances and self-care." That is how Positively Soap & Candle Co. was born.

How long have you been in business?
We opened our family-owned and operated business in 2015 from our home in Manhattan, Kansas. However, after retiring from the military in 2018/2019, we decided to take our products statewide and are proud to be part of the Topeka Vendors Market, bringing our unique products right to our Topeka customers!

What will we find in your booth that we cannot find anywhere else?
Our bath & body products are handcrafted in small batches. We use top-quality products that are mild and gentle. I love our White Sage & Lavender Facial Bars, made with organic oils and triple butter soap. They leave your skin clean and spa fresh!

We are an approved The Leaping Bunny partner, a worldwide organization that promotes animal cruelty-free products. Approved partners undergo a rigorous vetting process and pledge that we do not use supplies or suppliers that conduct animal testing or use unethical practices. We use natural butters and fragrance oils in our products, an essential part of our customer commitment.

Can you give us an example of how as Resilience Trainer/Coaches, you have created your products to enhance your client's journeys.
We create our products to enhance other practices we encourage for a healthy life. Gardening, for instance, is a great stress reliever, and it is the time of year when we can turn our thoughts to plans for spring. There's nothing like being outdoors, working with nature, cultivating the earth, and producing something beautiful from the fruits of your labor.

All that hard work in the soil is sure to leave any gardener with dirty hands, and we created the Gardener Theapy bar. It is made with goat's milk to keep hands soft, ground walnut shells and natural loofah add a gentle exfoliation to help get hands clean and slough away unwanted debris. Softly scented with green fig, a fresh mix of grapefruit, jasmine, leafy greens, and cedarwood, the scent continues the thematic work by helping the individual relax and enjoy a job well done.

Tell us a little more about your products...
Our items are handcrafted and made right here in Kansas by us! We enjoy customizing orders for our customers and have created some unique items. We are incredibly proud of our hand-poured candles. We use a premium soy blend wax made right here in Kansas. Our candles are finished with a dual fused crackling wooden wick, and our fragrances are selected from top suppliers using the best oils that are clean burning.

Our ingredients are ethically sourced to ensure you have the finest products that have not been tested in animals or harvested using unethical practices.
