Topeka Collegiate hires new Director of Development

Topeka Collegiate is delighted to announce that Barbara Gannaway (Natalie ‘09) has been named Director of Development. Barbara brings a wealth of experience to this role. She has been a teacher and counselor, led teams of educators, and provided professional development at both the national and local levels. She was a Topeka Collegiate educator and programs director from 2002-2012.

Barbara has a successful track record in leading fundraising campaigns and acquiring grants for innovative projects, which makes her an excellent addition to the team. Barbara serves on the board of CASA and CURE Epilepsy and is a committee member of the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.

The Leadership Team and Board of Trustees are confident that Barbara Gannaway is the perfect fit for the Director of Development position at Topeka Collegiate. “She knows our school's values and culture of excellence,” said Dr. Lyn Rantz, Head of School. “She has been a valued member of our school community for over two decades. And it is perfect timing: the school is undergoing transformational changes with the Sustain Campaign, a $7 million campus renovation project. There is a real sense of pride within our alumni, students, faculty, and families. Barbara is rejoining the school at a pivotal time!” said Dr. Rantz.

Barbara is looking forward to reconnecting with the community. “I want to hear other’s stories about why they chose Topeka Collegiate. I am excited to support the school’s strategic mission and the continued cultivation of a giving community,” said Barbara.

With her passion for children and education, she is dedicated to helping Topeka Collegiate grow and serve more students and families. We can’t wait to see what great things she’ll achieve in her new role! Barbara will begin on Monday, November 6.
