Topeka Area Sports Commission Launches Economic Impact Survey, With Goal Of Maximizing Quality And Quantity Of Local Sports Offerings
The Topeka Area Sports Commission, commonly known as TASC, is excited to announce it is embarking on a comprehensive research and community engagement initiative aimed at maximizing the economic impact of sports in the Topeka area. As the first step in this effort, TASC is releasing the following survey to gather valuable statistical insight from community members about their participation in amateur sports and spending patterns when attending sporting events outside the Topeka market. The survey, available here, is expected to remain open through at least the end of November.
“I’m encouraging everyone with an interest in the Topeka area’s sports scene to take the survey and help us reach our goal of 2,000 responses,” said Mike Bell, TASC director. “Not only will the data from this survey support our advocacy and fundraising efforts for local sports facilities, but it should also serve as a compelling case for retaining economic dollars within the community. By taking the survey, you play a vital role in shaping the future of sports in the Topeka area.”
The survey is just six questions and takes less than five minutes to complete. Data collected will be vital to better understanding sports-related travel habits, expenditure, and preferences among Topeka-area residents. It will also lay the foundation for future TASC work.
