Stormont Vail Health Names New Senior VP/Chief Experience Officer

Stormont Vail Health has named Page Bachman, JD, as the new Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer for the regional healthcare system consisting of two hospitals in Topeka and Junction City and multiple primary and specialty care clinics across eastern Kansas. Bachman will begin his new duties Oct. 1, 2023.

Bachman has more than 25 years of strategic experience as a healthcare executive leading human resources functions such as talent acquisition, performance management and organizational development, total rewards and employee/physician relations. He also has been a leader for strategic planning, in-house child care programs, communication, and hospital support areas.

He also is well suited to lead us in providing the very best in patient and team experience,” said Dr. Robert Kenagy, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Bachman is currently a System Executive Director with the City of Hope and The Translational Genomics Institute (TGen), a leading genomic research institute. He has been responsible for human resources initiatives across all research subsidiaries within the City of Hope, including TGen based in Phoenix and the Beckman Research Institute in Los Angeles.

He previously was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Phoenix Children’s, Vice President of Human Resources for Ascension Health for the Kansas/Oklahoma region consisting of two health systems, St. John Health System in Tulsa, and Via Christi Health in Wichita, as well as earlier HR leadership roles at St. John Health System with five hospitals and Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston.

Bachman received his bachelor degree in economics from Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y., and a juris doctorate from the New England School of Law, Boston. He is a licensed attorney and trained mediator.
