Popular Middle Grade Author Janae Marks Visits Topeka
The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library is hosting New York Times bestselling author Janae Marks on Monday, October 2, 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the library's Marvin Auditorium. Marks will talk about her work, writing process, reading life and her journey to becoming an author.
Marks is the author of the middle grade novels "From the Desk of Zoe Washington," "A Soft Place to Land" and "On Air with Zoe Washington." The book "From the Desk of Zoe Washington" is currently in development with Disney Branded Television to become an original movie, executive produced by Kerry Washington.
Before her public presentation at the library, Marks will visit students at Ross Elementary School and Chase Middle School.
Marks grew up in the New York City suburbs, where she loved to read and write. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Tufts University and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children from The New School. She lives in Connecticut with her family. Learn more about her at janaemarks.com
