Stormont Vail Health Offers Drive-Thru Flu Shot Clinics

Stormont Vail Health will be hosting a variety of flu shot clinics again this year for established Stormont Vail Health/Cotton O’Neil patients who have previously had a flu shot. Below is a list of all the flu shot clinics:

Adult drive-thru flu shot clinics will be held on Sept. 21 and Sept. 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The drive- thru clinics are for established patients, who are 19 and older, and who have previously had a flu shot with no complications. The adult clinic will take place in the Stormont Vail Surgery parking garage, at the corner of 10th St. and Garfield Ave.

An adult drive-thru flu shot clinic in Manhattan will be held on Oct. 7 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The drive- thru clinic is located at 1325 Research Park Drive, Manhattan, KS. This clinic is also only for established patients, those who are 19 and older, and who have received a flu shot previously.

An adult flu shot clinic in Junction City will be held on Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 16 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m., and Oct. 20 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The flu shot clinic at the Flint Hills Campus is located at 1102 St. Mary’s Rd, Junction City, KS. Patients should come inside through the hospital’s main entrance and turn right to find the conference room next to the dining hall. This clinic is also only for established patients, those who are 19 and older, and who have received a flu shot previously.

Pediatric drive-thru flu shot clinics will be held on October 19 and October 26 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Cotton O’Neil Pediatrics Gage, off of SW 15th and Gage. This drive-thru flu shot clinic is for kids who are 7 months and older and have previously had the flu shot. Patients must be established with Cotton O’Neil. Eligible family members accompanying the patient may also receive their flu shot at the same time. The Vaccines for Children Program is accepted at this clinic.

The seasonal flu vaccine is especially important for pregnant women, people 65 and older, and others with chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, and lung disease. People with chronic illnesses may have an increased chance of developing pneumonia as a result of getting the flu. Those who may have close contact with high-risk individuals, including infants, should also be vaccinated. That might include adults or children living with, or caring for, people at high-risk of developing complications. For more information please visit: www.stormontvail.org/flu
