Capper Foundation will be presented with a check for $1,648.65 on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. The media is invited to attend the check presentation at Capper Foundation, located at 3500 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS (main entrance is located on the north side of the building via SW Orleans St.).
In honor of Veteran’s Day 2023, Stephen Smith Gallery designated the month of November showcasing art created by two local military veterans – Marvin N. Henry, Jr., and Joe Bye.
25% of the artists’ sales are being donated by the artists and Stephen Smith Gallery to Capper Foundation’s emergency veteran’s fund, recently renamed Marvin N. Henry, Jr. Veteran’s Assistance Program. The emergency fund provides critical and timely assistance for Kansas Veterans with disabilities in their time of need. Quote by Marvin Henry and spoken like a Marine - “I vow to ‘have my brother’s back’ even fifty years later.”
