Envista Federal Credit Union Wraps Up International Credit Union Week with Random Acts of Kindness
Envista Federal Credit Union is wrapping up their week-long celebration in honor of International Credit Union Week, showcasing their commitment to their members and the community through a series of impactful initiatives.
Throughout the Topeka, Lawrence, and Hutchinson communities, members of Team Envista have been leaning into the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” by distributing envelopes containing $20 cash to random patrons at local grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores and more. In total, the credit union will surprise 150 citizens with a total of $3,000 to help purchase essential needs.
International Credit Union Day has been celebrated globally since 1948 on the third Thursday of October. For Envista, it is more than just a day of recognition; it is a reaffirmation of their promise to serve and support their members and the surrounding communities.
“This week has served as an amazing reminder of the promise we make to our members and our communities,” said Val Williams, AVP of Marketing at Envista Federal Credit Union. “Our hope is that the efforts of this week, and every day, demonstrate Envista’s commitment to the growth and support of those around us.”
Throughout the week, Envista has engaged in various activities to spread cheer and appreciation among its patrons. In branches, members were greeted with complimentary cookies and calendars as tokens of gratitude for their continued support. Envista also partnered with local organizations through volunteer opportunities and community events.
A highlight of the week was the Topeka Credit Union Foundation Benefactors Breakfast, held annually in partnership with three local credit unions. This event celebrated the foundation’s 20 year anniversary and successfully distributed $50,575 in grant funds to eight local organizations.
The week’s celebrations will conclude with a Shred Day, sponsored by Envista Investment Advisors, scheduled for Saturday, October 19, from 9 to 11 am. The event, taking place at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church parking lot at the corner of 37th and Wanamaker, offers community members a secure and convenient way to dispose of their sensitive documents.
