USA Swimming Regional Team Manager Joins Topeka Swim Association as Head Coach

Heather Thomas joined the Topeka Swim Association as Head Coach. 

“We are excited to welcome a coach of Heather’s caliber to the TSA Family and the Topeka community. Her experience with programs like ours and passion to help every athlete reach their fullest potential made her a perfect fit for our club and our community,” says Richard Allen, TSA Board President. “TSA athletes will greatly benefit from Coach Heather’s vast coaching knowledge and experiences, including those leading clinics and national select teams for USA Swimming.”

Coach Thomas comes to Topeka from Bend, Oregon, bringing 20 years of head coach experience and more than 30 years of swim coaching experience. She has led swim athletes from learn to swim program up through National level competitions and every stop in between. Coach Thomas has been the team manager for the Oregon Zone and All Star team for 10 years and has been selected for three USA Swimming Zone Select Camps in 2014, 2015, and 2016 as a team manager. She was also selected as a Manager of the USA National Junior Team in 2018. She has an infectious enthusiasm for the sport of swimming, which has not wavered since she swam herself in San Diego, CA as a youth and then for Oregon State University.

I am excited to build on this history to take the program to a new level and continue to individually develop every swimmer who comes through our program,” says Heather Thomas, TSA Head Coach.
