Topeka Zoo Patas Monkey’s Set to Predict Possible Super Bowl Winner

The Topeka Zoo proudly invites the public to join them for a Facebook Live event on Thursday, February 8th at 10:00 am to witness the Patas Monkey’s choice for the upcoming big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49’ers.

“We are so excited this year for the Patas to pick their choice for Super Bowl 2024” said Fawn Moser, Interim Director of the Topeka Zoo. “We are just wondering if they will pick their previous hometown or will they be supporting the Chiefs?”

“Our Patas Monkey’s actually came to Topeka by way of San Francisco in 2018, now calling Camp Cowabunga home.”

While Patas Monkeys are not typically known for game day predictions, they are the fastest primate in the world, known for their running speed of 30 mph, they are a ground dwelling monkey that normally lives in semi-arid areas of west and east Africa.

The public is encouraged to see who the Patas Monkey’s choose for this year’s big game via Facebook Live (@topekazoo) and are invited to visit the “stadium” (the Topeka Zoo’s address is 635 SW Gage Blvd) to learn more when you visit the zoo during the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, any day of the week.
