Mall Owners Choose Developer Who Focuses on Community Impact

West Ridge Mall owners Cody Foster and David Callanan have recently chosen Dallas-based Russell Glen Company to help reimagine the mall into a destination for NE Kansas.

Founded by CEO Terrence Maiden, Russell Glen Company is a privately owned, fully integrated real estate investment and development firm. Russell Glen focuses on mixed-use spaces that specialize in creating community-minded experiences.

"Owning a mall and planning a renovation at this scale is a project that is new to Dave and me," said Foster. "We knew enough that we needed a real estate development company like Russell Glen, which has an impeccable reputation and lots of experience in the retail space. After touring the Former Red Bird Mall project in Dallas, we saw the transformation Terrence is leading; that was it, we were sold," he said.

Russell Glen is widely regarded for their vision and ability in creating remarkable places. The portfolio of projects completed and underway comprises properties ranging from redevelopment of malls, mixed-use destinations, offices, and institutional and master-planned communities.

The next step is to hire an architectural firm to help us get our vision for West Ridge designed."

Maiden has over twenty years of real estate experience, previously serving as Executive Vice President at Corinth Properties. He serves as Chairman of the Maiden Foundation, a nonprofit organization that invests in educational and community revitalization projects, and as a trustee on the International Council of Shopping Center Board of Trustees.

Recently, West Ridge has added two new restaurants, Ta Co and Boxer BBQ. In addition, the mall has welcomed the following tenants: Absolute Tattoo, Luxe Wellness Clinic, Shockwave Aqua Center, and AEA Jewelry.
