Who or what has had the greatest impact on your career and why? 
All the teachers and mentors who believed in me. I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for them.  

What is one leadership lesson you've learned in your career and what impact has it made on you? 
One lesson I've learned over the years is that to truly be an effective servant leader, I have to take care of myself, too. I can only give others my best when I am at my own personal best. This has forced me to make harder decisions about how and what I choose to spend my time on. 

What book would you recommend and why? 
Any book by Robert Greene. His research and purpose is to help others understand human nature, whether it's our own or that of others. Robert Greene breaks human nature down in a simple way that even I can understand. It has helped me to better navigate workplace dynamic. 

What is the biggest professional goal you have accomplished? 
My biggest professional goal accomplished was earning a Doctorate of Education from the University of Kansas. In 2020, I defended my dissertation via Zoom while in quarantine and sick from COVID-19. It wasn't exactly how I envisioned that moment to be, but the degree hangs on my wall as a symbol of resilience.
