Prevention and Resiliency Services (PARS) Hosts Fentanyl Awareness Day to Combat Substance Abuse in Topeka
Prevention and Resiliency Services (PARS) is proud to host people for an educational session surrounding Fentanyl Awareness Day. This is a crucial initiative aimed at educating and empowering the Topeka community in the fight against substance abuse. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7th, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Community Center, situated in Hillcrest Park at 1800 SE 21st St, Topeka, KS 66607.
Fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid, poses a significant threat to individuals across the nation, including here in Topeka. As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting health and resilience, PARS invites community members to join us for an evening of education, discussion, and collaboration.
"At PARS, we understand the devastating impact that substance abuse, particularly fentanyl use, can have on individuals, families, and communities," said Mandy Czechanski, Executive Director at PARS. "Fentanyl Awareness Day provides a platform for us to come together, raise awareness, and work towards effective solutions to combat this crisis."
The event will feature a thought-provoking video presentation on fentanyl, shedding light on its dangers and effects. Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with a panel including Amber Saale-Burger, Valerie Beam, Cody Cotney, and Charles Rookstool.
PARS encourages all members of the Topeka community to participate in this important event. To RSVP or learn more about Fentanyl Awareness Day, please contact us at info@parstopeka.org or visit www.parstopeka.org.
