Stormont Vail Health Welcomes Veronica Diedrich, D.O., to Emergency Medicine Department

Stormont Vail Health is excited to announce the newest addition to our Emergency Department team, Dr. Veronica Diedrich, D.O., a dedicated and dynamic physician. Her knowledge, compassionate care, and continuous desire to learn will significantly enhance patient care at the Stormont Vail Emergency Department at 1500 S.W. 10th Ave., Topeka.

Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Diedrich's innate curiosity and interest in science fueled her path to medicine. Her father, an engineer who instilled a passion for science in her and her siblings, significantly inspired her journey. This background, combined with firsthand exposure to patient care as a scribe while pursuing a bachelor of science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, solidified Dr. Diedrich's decision to become an Emergency Medicine specialist.

With a philosophy centered around making each patient's visit as comfortable and informative as possible, Dr. Diedrich's approach to care is deeply personal and emphasizes clear communication. Her dedication to patient comfort and trust demonstrates her commitment to supporting patients and their loved ones in their most vulnerable moments.

"I break down complex medical jargon into relatable terms with everyday metaphors so patients and their families fully understand their care plan," Dr. Diedrich said. "I just try to make their experience in the E.R. a little easier."

Dr. Diedrich earned her doctorate in osteopathic medicine at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University. She rounded her training as a resident in Emergency Medicine at the University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
