Topeka Zoo Celebrates Gage Park Founders Fest with Free Admission on August 31st
The Topeka Zoo is thrilled to invite the community to a special celebration on Saturday, August 31st, as part of Gage Park Founders Fest. Join us for a day of fun, entertainment, and community spirit on Labor Day Weekend—featuring free admission to the Topeka Zoo in honor of its birthday with the donation of a non-perishable food item!
Event Highlights:
Free Zoo Admission: Entry to the Topeka Zoo will be free for visitors on August 31st. All we ask is for each guest to bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to support local community organizations.
Ballet Performance: Enjoy a “Wildly Creative” performance by Ballet Midwest, highlighting their talents within the beautiful surroundings of the zoo.
Family Fun in Gage Park: The festivities extend beyond the zoo, with a host of exciting activities throughout Gage Park, including:
Free Mini Train and Carousel Rides
A Mobile Museum experience provided by the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center in the Blaisdell parking lot
Extra fun at Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with regular paid admission throughout the day
Gage Park Historical Presentation at the Big Gage Shelter House
Rec & Roll Van will in Blaisdell parking lot
Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library Bookmobile will be in the Blaisdell parking lot
