The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is proud to announce the addition of Olusegun Onibonoje, DO, MSc, a distinguished fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon, to our orthopedic team. Dr. Onibonoje brings a wealth of expertise in complex adult and pediatric spine surgery along with minimally invasive spine procedures and is committed to offering patients the most modern and comprehensive approach to spinal care.
Dr. Onibonoje completed his medical education at Campbell University of Osteopathic Medicine, Lillington, North Carolina, followed by a residency training at Rowan University/Inspira Health Network, Vineland, New Jersey. He further honed his skills during a spine fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, California working alongside some of the most respected surgeons in the field of complex spine surgery.
In addition to his medical and surgical expertise and training, he has a background as a physical therapist. Dr. Onibonoje’s approach to patient care is deeply influenced by his commitment to conservative treatment methods. He prioritizes non-surgical therapies whenever possible, ensuring that surgery is only considered when necessary. When surgical intervention is required, Dr. Onibonoje leverages his extensive experience in minimally invasive techniques, robotic and navigation assisted spine surgery to deliver the safest and most effective outcomes for his patients.
