Topeka Collegiate School is proud to announce its annual Veterans Day Recognition Assembly, a beloved tradition honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Families, veterans, and community members are warmly invited to attend this meaningful event. An RSVP is requested via email to Mrs. Tamara Buche, faculty organizer.

The morning will begin with breakfast and fellowship among students, families, and honored guests. At 9:00 AM, the community will gather in the Assembly Hall for a special program featuring:

  • Presentation of the flags and colors by local Scouts

  • Musical selections and personal reflections from Topeka Collegiate faculty and community members

“It is an honor to have Topeka Collegiate recognize the service of the brave men and women of our school community, and all veterans, having given of their time and talents to defend the country,” said Michael Flax, Acting Head of School. “The opportunity for our students to hear directly from veterans gives them a first-hand account of the sacrifice and strength of spirit that come with serving one’s country.”

This year’s program will be emceed by Mrs. Leilani Grey, and coordinated by the dedicated Veterans Day Committee: Bill Buckler, Mrs.Megan Kopshinsky, Mrs. Dina Dudinyak, Mrs. Elizabeth Emory, Mrs. Tamara Buche, Ms. Aubrey Cook, and Justin Nikodem.
