NOTO Welcomes New Board Members

NOTO Welcomes New Board Members

The NOTO Arts and Entertainment District has elected three new board members to the non-profit organization. Jeremy Wangler, Miranda Chavez-Hazim, and Kaylee Champagne will help the organization with its mission to cultivate arts and experiences that inspire opportunity, enhance economic vitality, and improve the overall quality of life in Topeka and the surrounding area.

Jeremy Wangler is a lifelong Midwesterner and a photographer who lives in Topeka, Kansas. Thanks to opportunities provided within the NOTO Arts and Entertainment District, he has worked to turn photography from a hobby to a chance to use the artform to tell a story, raise awareness and show the beauty of our world, particularly the Kansas landscape. Jeremy earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2004 and has worked in creative communications ever since, currently working as the director of digital communication at the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation. He will receive a Bachelor of Art in art from Washburn this May.

Kaylee Champagne is an active community leader and advocate for Topeka’s growth and vibrancy. With a passion for creative problem-solving and collaboration, Kaylee is dedicated to making a positive impact both professionally and personally. Kaylee serves in leadership positions across several organizations, including the Communications Chairperson for Topeka Facility Managers Association (TFMA) and as the 2025 Chair for Forge, Topeka's Young Talent Organization. Her commitment to the community is reflected in her work with the Greater Topeka Partnership, where she contributes to the Small Business Council and the Chair’s Council.

Miranda Chavez-Hazim is the Director of First Impressions at Harvest Financial Group. Outside of her day job, she channels her creativity and passion for community engagement as the photographer/owner of Hazim Happenings and co-owner of MAD Marketing. Dedicated to fostering strong relationships and supporting all things locally, Miranda strives to leave a legacy in her community. Through strategic social media marketing, she helps elevate local brands and events, ensuring they make a lasting impact in the Topeka community.

The newly elected members have committed to a three-year term of service.

Officers of the board include chair Marty Schlossman, FHL Bank; chair-elect Tammy Cortez, Cortez Transportation, treasurer Zach Polenz, Clayton Financial; and secretary Cole Mosier,  NOTO resident.
