Candidates filing for state and national offices should file at the Secretary of State’s Office, Memorial Hall, 1st Floor, 120 SW 10th Avenue in Topeka. The phone number is (785) 296-4561.

Independent candidates may file by petition only.  The filing deadline for Independent candidates is Monday August 6th at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). To file as an independent candidate, they must be registered as an unaffiliated voter by the June 1st at Noon deadline.
