Marsha Pope to be President of Topeka Community Foundation

Marsha1The Topeka Community Foundation Board of Directors announces that Marsha Pope has been chosen as the next President of the foundation. Pope, who has worked for the Foundation for more than 13 years and currently serves as the Foundation’s vice president, will begin her duties as President on Friday, April 15th.

"Marsha's superior leadership skills will ensure the foundation has an even greater significance in the future of the Topeka community,” said Topeka Community Foundation Board Chair Shelly Buhler.

With assets at the Foundation at almost $50 million, Pope will oversee the management of more than 390 funds – which include donor-advised funds, scholarship funds and organizational endowment funds.

She will replace current President, Roger Viola, who served the organization for nine years and announced his retirement earlier this year.

The mission of the Topeka Community Foundation is to connect donors with their interests and community needs, increase charitable giving in our community, provide leadership on key community issues and ensure stewardship and accountability for effective community investment of donor dollars.
