The students enjoyed learning how to always be ready to share your idea or service in environments you might not expect; such as riding in a limo or on a jet.
Judges included Karl Klein from the Washburn Small Business Development Center, Patti Bossert owner of Key Staffing, Eugene Williams from KTWU, and Zach Haney author of Teen CEO and owner of Haney Entertainment and Carnival Guy. Advisors Excel donated use of their jet, Black Label Transportation donated driver time, Vaerus Aviation donated use of their hanger to host the event, and Schwerdt Design Group donated use of their limo.
Youth Entrepreneurs' goal is to not just give students the skills to start a business, but to help them overcome obstacles with investigation.
"What better way to investigate your solution to a problem then to find the professionals who have the experience and connections to give great feedback," said Jake Taylor, Youth Entrepreneurs Program Manager.
