Professional Remodeler magazine recently posted its annual list of 40 Under 40 remodeling industry super stars on its website, ProRemodeler.com. Jake Brown, owner of Winston Brown Construction is among the honorees. Profiles of the Class of 2015 members will be presented in the July 2015 issue.
Nominations set a new record this year, illustrating the depth of talent among this collective of future, and present, industry leaders. A panel of Professional Remodeler editors selected the winners, based on both personal and professional accomplishments.
From coast to coast, this year’s class represents all regions of the United States and spans an age range of 22 to 39 years. Its members include 13 women and 27 men who are involved in all aspects of the remodeling and home improvement industry, from design and construction, to production and project management, to sales and marketing. Their business cards show such titles as president, partner, owner, CEO, vice president, director, and manager.
These progressive young leaders have helped their companies to diversify, gain niche clients, boost productivity, grow their profits, and update or replace existing technology to establish best practices in project and revenue tracking, along with employee training.
Many of the class members started their own companies while in their 20s, are active in community service, and have volunteered their talents to such projects as Habitat for Humanity, constructing handicap ramps, and rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina.
