Westar Energy announced that Lloyd Jackson joined the company as executive director, power marketing. Gordon Evans Energy Center manager Casey Bough has been promoted to executive director, gas power plants. Jackson brings more than 15 years of experience in power trading for firms in Texas and Oklahoma. He will be based in Topeka, overseeing commodity management and procurement for the company’s power plants and wholesale power business. A Houston native, he earned a bachelor of science in finance and economics from University of Houston in Houston.
Bough joined Westar Energy last year, managing Gordon Evans Energy Center in Colwich, Kan. In his new role, he will provide leadership and strategic direction for Westar’s fleet of natural gas power plants. He previously held positions with Xcel Energy in Minnesota and General Electric Company Nuclear Division in North Carolina. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University. He is a native of southeast Kansas.
