Topeka and Shawnee County residents are invited to take a 10-minute survey to help inform theeconomic development analysis being conducted by Garner Economics LLC.
The survey is available through this link: http://jedo.questionpro.com and on many civic agency websites, including the City of Topeka, Shawnee County, Heartland Visioning and the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.
The Joint Economic Development Organization, which is made up of city council members and county commissioners, engaged Garner Economics to conduct an economic development analysis in an effort to enhance the City’s and County’s economic development service delivery. A vital part of that process, said CEO Jay Garner, is this survey.
“Your feedback is essential as we look to ways to leverage and enhance the area’s economic development activities,” Garner wrote as an introduction to the survey.
To be considered in the analysis, the answers must be submitted by 5 p.m. Sept. 10. People can save their responses and return later, though the survey was designed to take about 10 minutes, so hopefully that isn’t necessary. It further allows only one survey per IP address.
The survey includes the same questions as those asked during the focus groups last week, which had more than 125 local participants. Garner Economics used the most frequently provided answers in the focus groups as options in the survey. Each question also contains a comment box if the respondent has other ideas or concerns.
