From Kansas City to Hays, Manhattan to Wichita, and Atchison to Scott City, BioKansas represents the bioscience continuum from the university laboratories to the established human health, animal health and plant science companies, and all the entrepreneurial ventures, start-ups and service providers in the heart of the continuum.
“I am honored to be accepted to BioKansas’ Board of Directors,” said Bridges. “I plan to represent Topeka and its effort in innovation to the very best of my ability.”
Bridges is charged with strengthening Topeka’s footprint in the Animal Health Corridor and with building a high-performance entrepreneurial ecosystem. In her role, she build key partnerships in the animal health and ag tech sectors in order to create more economic opportunity in Topeka and across the region.
"The appointment of Katrin Bridges to the BioKansas Board of Directors is a great example of connecting and re-energizing the tremendous bioscience resources here in our state and region,” said Dr. Daniel Richardson, former board chair of BioKansas. “As a founding member representative of BioKansas and past board chair, it is gratifying to me to see Topeka engaged. Katrin brings experience, connectivity, enthusiasm and skills that will insure Topeka is well represented."
“Katrin has been an incredible asset to the Partnership,” said Matt Pivarnik, CEO of the Greater Topeka Partnership. “She has played a critical role in many of the organization’s recent successes, include Plug and Play’s selection of Topeka as its animal health science/ag tech startup accelerator. I have no doubt that BioKansas’ Board of Directors will benefit from her impressive skills and network.”
