What do you wish you could go back and tell your younger self?
Owning your own business is tough and at times requires difficult decisions to be made. Go with your gut and don’t linger on your decisions, even if they have difficult outcomes.
Since your time as a 20 Under 40 honoree, what is the most impactful experience and what did you learn from it?
I made the decision to purchase a business from bankruptcy in 2016. While I knew this would be a challenging transaction, I didn’t know how truly difficult it would become. Fortunately, because of the many, many wonderful people that worked at this business along with the current employees of Ernest-Spencer, we found success. I learned that gathering, communicating, and motivating a group of people creates an unstoppable force. People’s fortitude and determination can be truly amazing!
What piece of advice has guided you well?
Cash is King! Learning to manage cash flow, whether personal or business, proves very beneficial in life.
