What do you wish you could go back and tell your younger self?
Spend time strengthening your closest relationships. Those will be the ones you rely on most in both good and hard times.
Since your time as a 20 Under 40 honoree, what is the most impactful experience and what did you learn from it?
As a member of the 20/30 Club of Topeka, I have been able to take part in our annual Coats for Kids event for many years. While the club supports the community throughout the year, this experience has had the most impact on me because it provides me the opportunity to learn the individual backgrounds of the children we are helping and how very real and local the needs are for foster children here in the greater Topeka area.
What piece of advice has guided you well?
Don't be afraid to ask the question. Whatever the question is that may be on your mind, you have to ask the question, otherwise you may never find out the answer.
