What do you know now that you wish you knew then?
I’ve been trying to extend grace when needed. With the pandemic, everyone is dealing with different and difficult circumstances. It’s important to allow kindness and leeway to those battling problems that we don’t even know about. I think I know now to be more considerate to everyone and practice thoughtfulness.
What advice would you give to aspiring young professionals?
Never say: “That isn’t in my job description,” because every job function you undertake and skill you learn, especially from the tasks that aren’t in your normal duties, will open doors to other opportunities in the future.
