The Jayhawk Theatre and Envista Announce Record-Setting Donation Results of the February EnvistaCares Challenge
Envista Credit Union, through the EnvistaCares Challenge, provided the Jayhawk Theatre with a one-month media package valued at more than $10,000 and a $2,500 challenge grant during the month of February. With the announcement of the EnvistaCares Challenge, the Jayhawk Theatre received additional match funds in challenge gifts to make the total challenge $15,000.
We are excited to share that the community has more than rose to the occasion and has donated $29,093.29 in cash contributions during the month of February, helping the Jayhawk Theatre secure $2,500 from Envista. This brings the grand total of funds received by the Jayhawk Theatre through the EnvistaCares Challenge to a new record of $31,593.29.
Jayhawk Theatre Board President Jeff Carson exclaimed, “We are absolutely thrilled and grateful that 60 donors, including 41 NEW donors, stepped forward with heartfelt gifts, exceeding our ambitious goal of raising $1,000 a day in February!” Carson also stated, “The opportunity that this challenge provided was tremendous. It inspired donors to step up now, when their support went twice as far. These gifts will help address some critical electrical and lighting repairs, as well as heating and safety enhancements. We cannot thank Envista and the community enough for this incredible show of support in a short period of time.”
“The community showed their love for the Jayhawk Theatre during the month of February, and we are honored to be a partner in their efforts,” said Tara Dimick, Chief Business Development Officer of Envista. “We are proud to support this Topeka treasure.”
