NOTO Welcomes Two Businesses
The NOTO Arts and Entertainment District is pleased to welcome two new businesses to the District with NOTO ribbon cuttings at the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, March 6.
The ribbon cutting for Couture 785 Arts will be at 5:45p.m. The business is located at Amused Gallery and Gifts at 907 N. Kansas. Lisa LaRue-Baker, owner of Couture 785 Arts, has been in NOTO for some time with pop-up shops. The permanent studio space encompasses a curated collection of unique vintage fashion, sculptures created from vintage textiles, photographic images, and more. "We are ecstatic about this opportunity to have space in Amused Gallery and Gifts, and to be a part of NOTO" said Lisa LarRe-Baker.
Immediately afterwards and just next door at at 909 N. Kansas, NOTO will formally welcome Arts Connect to the district with a ribbon cutting at 6:00p.m. "We are excited to show off our new space in NOTO. This gives us so much opportunity to make Topeka a great arts town," said Sarah Fizell, executive director.
"NOTO is all about small business and NOTO is all about the arts. We are pleased to welcome both Couture 7895 Arts and Arts Connect to our neighborhood, said Thomas Underwood, executive director of the NOTO Arts and Entertainment District. "We hope to have lots of visitors to welcome these new businesses and to visit the other businesses on First Friday as well as other days throughout the month."
