Donation Results of the March Envista Cares Challenge and Change in the Challenge during COVID-19

Envista Credit Union, through the Envista Cares Challenge, provided ERC dba Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas with a one-month media package valued at more than $10,000 and a $2,500 challenge grant during the month of March.

ERC dba Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas is pleased to announce that the community has given them $6,560 in donations, helping them exceedthe Envista Cares Challenge goal and receive the $2,500 challenge grant, for a total of $9,060.

“The gifts will enable Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas to provide valuable and needed programs and services that support working parents as they seek high-quality child care for their children. Contributions will also provide training for the early childhood workforce, and impact our ability to bring needed materials and resources into child care facilities focused on helping improve the early learning experiences for the children in care. We want every child to arrive at kindergarten ready to be successful in school – and what happens in the earliest years sets the stage for that later success,” said Reva Wywadis, Executive Director of ERC dba Child Care Aware® of Eastern Kansas. “We are so grateful for the support.”

“Child Care Aware is providing services to ensure the success of our future generation. Their work is essential to our community,” said Tara Dimick, Chief Business Development Officer of Envista. “We are honored to support them and share their message.”

Due to COVID-19, Envista has placed the Envista Cares Challenge on hold during the month of April and is using $2,500 to purchase local business gift cards and give them away via social media over 10 weeks.
