Reliant Apparel Earns Certification as Minority Business Enterprise
Reliant Apparel, a Black-owned and Woman-owned business founded in 2011, has earned certification by the State of Kansas as a Minority Business Enterprise.
The application process through the Kansas Department of Commerce involves submitting detailed financial and management documentation, reference checks, interviews with key leadership and an on-site review. The process is renewed every three years and is subject to evaluation of management and control of the company’s operations before renewal is granted.
“We’re proud to receive this ’seal of approval’ of the State of Kansas recognizing our minority-owned status,” said Clinton Appelhanz, Co-Owner and President of Reliant Apparel. “For companies who seek supplier diversity, this is an assurance from a recognized, objective third-party that they’re doing business with a minority-owned company that has been vetted before they receive the title.”
