Who are your heroes?
My two heroes in the local real estate industry are Ben Blair and Bryon Schlosser. Ben was one of the founders of Coldwell Banker Griffith & Blair and Bryon was his successor. Both of these men built one of the most respected brokerages in NE Kansas that I now have the privilege to carry on. Growing up, I admired their dedication, professionalism, and knowledge. They were the standard of who I wanted to become. They, along with my mother, are who motivated me to get into the business.
How has the current situation impacted your thoughts on leadership?
"Leadership is what happens in times of crisis." —Ryan Schneider (CEO of Realogy). He said this quote during one of our recent meetings. It has really stuck with me. Throughout the past year, leadership has become even more crucial. Leaders have had to be resilient and react to unknown and rapidly changing environments. Great leaders must have the ability to not only manage the day-to-day but lead their followers through adversity by listening to their needs and helping them through the challenges.
What superpower would you choose?
The ability to teleport. I would love the ability to travel anywhere in a matter of seconds!
Name something on your bucket list?
Someday, I would like to backpack around Europe for a month or so without an itinerary and go wherever the trip takes me.
