What is your spirit animal?
I may have to slightly bend the rules here because my answer isn’t an animal. I actually own a coffee mug that reads “Tom Petty is my spirit animal.“ He always stood up for what he believed in and wouldn’t “back down” as expressed in his lyrics. In business and in life we should always push hard for what we believe in and not back down from challenges. They only help us grow!
What do you wish someone had told you a long time ago?
Don’t be so hard on yourself! Learn from your mistakes and move on. I do not like making mistakes and used to be hard on myself when I made one. Reflecting back, I have learned more from my mistakes than anything. The perspective, wisdom, strength, humility, adaptability and ideas derived from making mistakes are invaluable.
What three hashtags describe you best?
#goodvibesonly It can be easy to let something small ruin your day. There is always something to be grateful for. Anytime a negative thought starts to take over, I think about what I am grateful for and let the good vibes in!
#yougotthisWe face plenty of challenges in business and life. Encouraging others and letting them know you believe in them can be just what they need to keep pushing to achieve a goal.
#alwaysbekindIn any situation, coming from a place of kindness will always get you further!
What brings you joy?
My family and friends first, of course. When it comes to my job, it is so rewarding to see the growth and development of our employees and the success that follows. Working as part of a company with a great culture also brings me joy. The kindness and support our employees give each other is inspiring!
