WAAT was established in 1984 to advance the interests of women in the legal profession and the
community. It seeks to promote the efficient administration of justice and constant improvement of the
law, encourage participation of women in professional and bar organizations, promote equality and
social justice for all people, promote relations between the legal profession and the public, and provide
women attorneys with a supportive environment to network professionally.
