Topeka Collegiate Launches New Strategic Plan, 2022-2026
In anticipation of the school’s 40th anniversary next year, Topeka Collegiate launched a new strategic plan to guide the independent school’s priorities over the next five years. Implementation begins immediately, during the 2021-2022 school year.
“As an alumni parent and as chair of the Topeka Collegiate Board of Trustees, I’m pleased to share our new strategic plan with the community,” said Board Chair Karen Linn. “It’s not only strategic - this plan is focused, forward-thinking and inspiring.”
More than 200 individuals contributed to the development of the Strategic Plan, which outlines three action-oriented pillars to drive the work of the school: Educate, Connect and Sustain. The first page of the plan begins with a Strategy Map, which provides an at-a-glance visual of the entire plan in the form of a venn diagram (included on the top of this press release):
The yellow circle represents Educate.
The blue circle represents Connect.
The overlapping portion represents Sustain, which outlines the efforts planned to sustain the activities outlined within Educate and Connect.
“Thanks to the thoughtful contributions of faculty, staff and parents, we’ve also updated our school’s mission statement as part of the new strategic plan,” said Dr. Lyn D. Rantz, Head of School. “We may not know what their future holds, but our mission ensures our students will be prepared.”
The updated mission statement is, “to inspire and prepare every student for a successful future through academic excellence, active citizenship, and humanitarian ideals.”
As part of the strategic plan release and upcoming 40th anniversary, Topeka Collegiate has formed a speaker’s bureau for local organizations interested in the history, legacy and impact of the school. To request a speaker, email sayhello@topekacollegiate.org.
