Todd Blackinton Named COO at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus
Todd Blackinton has been promoted to chief operating officer at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus. Todd has proven himself to be an exceptional executive during his time as assistant administrator. He has made significant contributions to the operations at St. Francis Campus and his caring, collaborative style is ideally suited to the culture.
In May of 2019, Todd entered the Ardent COO development program and was placed at St. Francis Campus as assistant administrator. He has been the executive leader for Physician Recruitment, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition, Plant Operations, Medical Imaging, Outpatient Therapies, Occupational Medicine, Wound Care and Volunteers. During his tenure, he has recruited many primary care physicians and specialists. Todd has led strategic plan development for the organization, managed multiple major construction projects and led an interdisciplinary team to improve patient experience scores in outpatient services areas. Recently Todd was named executive leader for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility and Inpatient Rehabilitation Services. With this promotion, Todd will also assume executive responsibility for Clinical Laboratory Services.
Todd previously served as director of marketing/public relations at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Prior to joining Ardent Health Services, Todd worked as a Marketing Strategist at Idaho Central Credit Union and also spent fourteen years working in television as news director/anchor/reporter at WHOI-TV in Peoria, Ill., and KPVI-TV in Pocatello, Idaho.
Todd is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah. He and his wife Traci have four children and reside in Topeka.
