Topeka Zoo to Celebrate Veterans Day with Free Admission for Veterans

Topeka Zoo to Celebrate Veterans Day with Free Admission for Veterans

The Topeka Zoo proudly celebrates Veterans Day by offering free admission to veterans who visit the zoo on Saturday, November 11th. Veterans Day is a day to honor the more than 19 million men and women who have served in the U.S. military.

“At the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center, we feel it is important to honor those who have served in the military because without them, we wouldn’t enjoy the freedoms we have today,” said Fawn Moser, Director of Operations for the zoo. “We have staff members who have served, friends, family, and we wanted to take this day to say thank you.”

The zoo will be open from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on November 11th. Veterans are asked to present their military identification at the gate to receive free admission. Any veterans interested in purchasing a membership at any level will receive $10 off the membership price.
