United Way and Security Benefit to Announce $25,000 Year-End Gift
Security Benefit Life Insurance Company, through its Charitable Trust, and United Way of Kaw Valley will announce a $25,000 donation to support the critical programs that United Way provides to Topeka, and the surrounding communities.
“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of Security Benefit,” said Jessica Lehnherr, CEO and President of United Way of Kaw Valley. “They bring such a wealth of resources to the table—volunteers, sponsorships and an employee giving campaign. They truly understand that working together we can create a network of support that builds a strong, healthy, and equitable community.” She added, “This additional contribution will ensure that important work can continue and expand for the benefit of all the communities United Way of Kaw Valley serves.” The Security Benefit—United Way relationship goes back years.
"We are proud to continue this long-running relationship with United Way of Kaw Valley and to support its area programs," noted Doug Wolff, CEO of Security Benefit. "UWKV aligns so well with our corporate values and our philanthropic focus that promotes education, health, and the arts across the communities in which we work." Security Benefit partners with UWKV on a number of programs including serving as the platinum sponsor for the Nancy Perry Day of Caring, Junior Leader Reader, the company’s UW Campaign Week, and more.
“The United Way and its partnering agencies uplift people of all ages in our community in multiple ways,” said Kim Gronniger, Corporate Communications Manager and Chair of the Security Benefit Charitable Trust. “We just completed another annual United Way campaign in the fall with our employees, and successfully raised additional funds to support UWKV's ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of life for individuals and communities.” For more information, visit: https://www.securitybenefit.com/about-us/charitable-giving.
