From 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, attendees will experience a heartfelt presentation of his lasting legacy online story, “The Journey of a Life,” culminating in the prestigious Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award presentation.
Dr. Farley has had a profound impact on education and aviation in Kansas. As president of Washburn University, he guided the institution through significant growth and transformation, enhancing its reputation and expanding its academic offerings. His leadership strengthened the university’s mission and inspired countless students to pursue their dreams.
In addition to his educational contributions, Dr. Farley is celebrated in the aviation community. He has dedicated his life to fostering a love for flight, exemplified by his own experiences in aviation.
Reflecting on his early years, he shares, “As I got older, starting at age 9, I could drive the tractor myself. Dad would take me to the farm to plow all day....” This connection to his roots speaks to the determination and dedication that have characterized his life and career.
