Dr. Elizabeth Wolfe-Meyer Returns Home to Serve Rural Community Where She Was Raised
St. Francis is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Elizabeth Wolfe-Meyer, MD, to our Valley Falls location as our new family medicine provider. Dr. Wolfe-Meyer brings her expertise and a deep commitment to serving rural communities, especially in the region where she was raised.
Born at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka and raised in Nortonville, Kansas, Dr. Wolfe-Meyer is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based care to rural areas. As a child, she received care from Dr. James Rider, a physician currently practicing at the Valley Falls family medicine location. She is thrilled to return to the same location, where she is dedicated to improving access to care for rural patients.
Dr. Wolfe-Meyer earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and completed her residency in family medicine at the Southern Colorado Family Medicine Residency in Pueblo, Colorado. Board-certified in family medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, she provides care to patients of all ages, from prenatal to end-of-life.
Dr. Elizabeth Wolfe-Meyer is passionate about women’s health and pediatric care. With additional training in these specialties, she has helped develop policies and procedures to improve preventive care adherence for patients of all ages. She is also dedicated to addiction medicine, supporting individuals in their recovery journeys. Believing that everyone deserves access to health care, regardless of location, Dr. Wolfe-Meyer uses her expertise in virtual and telephone consultations with specialists to provide specialty care at her clinic for rural patients who are unable to travel.
Excited to bring her family back to the community she loves, Dr. Wolfe-Meyer embraces her roots as a Jayhawk fan and graduate of the University of Kansas Medical Center, proudly exclaiming, "Rock Chalk!"
