30th Annual Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade to Feature Fireworks and Musical Headliner Maria Cuevas

The Greater Topeka Partnership and Downtown Topeka Inc. are excited to announce the 30th Annual Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade Presented by Giant Communications, taking place Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 6 p.m. in Downtown Topeka.

This year marks a major milestone for Topeka’s beloved holiday tradition, and organizers are pulling out all the stops to celebrate the parade’s 30th anniversary. For the first time ever, the parade will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show at Evergy Plaza, sponsored by WIBW and HF Rubber Machinery, featuring live music, a visit from Santa, and a festive atmosphere for the whole family.

Headlining the evening’s entertainment is Maria Cuevas of Maria the Mexican, who will kick off the parade in front of the main stage at 9th and Kansas, hosted by WIBW, and perform again during the post-parade celebration.

“This year’s Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade is going to be unforgettable,” said John Koop, Vice President of Member Engagement and Events at the Greater Topeka Partnership. “We’re celebrating 30 years of holiday magic with more lights, more music, and more community spirit than ever before.”

WIBW will livestream the parade online, allowing thousands more to experience the magic from home.

“As Topeka continues to grow and evolve, traditions like the Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade remind us of what makes this community special,” said Austin Taylor, General Manager of Giant Communications. “We’re proud to help light up downtown and share in the joy of this 30th anniversary celebration.”

This beloved tradition will feature up to 200 parade entries, including dazzling floats, energetic marching bands, and the highly anticipated arrival of Santa Claus.

Before the parade begins, families can enjoy the Miracle on Kansas Avenue Christmas Village at Evergy Plaza starting at 4:00pm, a festive destination filled with fun for all ages. The village will include entertainment, local vendors, food trucks, games, and plenty of activities designed especially for kids and families.

Attendees can also take part in the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Evergy Plaza, explore beautifully decorated storefronts, and vote in the Window Decorating Contest. It’s a full day of celebration, community spirit, and holiday joy in Downtown Topeka.
