Six Scouts from Troop 46 earn rank of Eagle Scout

Six Scouts from Troop 46 earn rank of Eagle Scout

Scouting America Troop 46, chartered through Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, announces that six members have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting. Eagle Scouts Luke Franklin, Sam Hammes, Zach Lindsay, Finn Lappin, William Luke and Evan White will be recognized during a special Eagle Court of Honor celebrating their accomplishments, leadership and service.

The ceremony will take place Sunday, March 1, at 1 p.m. at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church in Topeka, with a reception to follow in O’Connor Hall.

The Eagle Scout rank represents years of dedication, growth and commitment to the principles of Scouting. Candidates must demonstrate leadership, complete extensive community service projects and earn merit badges that reflect achievement in citizenship, service, outdoor skills and personal development.

Each Scout planned and led an Eagle Scout service project benefiting the community. These projects required months of preparation, coordination of volunteers, fundraising and hands-on leadership. Collectively, their efforts contribute meaningful improvements to local organizations and public spaces, leaving a lasting impact on the Topeka community while demonstrating initiative and commitment to service.

Troop 46, a Catholic Scouting troop based at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, emphasizes faith, leadership, service and moral responsibility. The troop has a tradition of forming young people into principled leaders who strive to live out the values of the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.

“Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout is not a single accomplishment but the culmination of years of perseverance, character development and servant leadership,” said Troop 46 Scoutmaster Eric White. “These young men have shown dedication to their faith, their community and one another. We are proud of who they are and excited to see how they will continue to lead and serve.”

The Eagle Court of Honor recognizes not only the Scouts’ achievements but also the families, mentors and community members who supported them throughout their journey. For more information about Troop 46 or the Eagle Court of Honor, contact Eric White at ewhite@mphm.com.
