The Sixth Annual Small Business Conference, “The Spirit of Entrepreneurship,” will be Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Local presenters and keynote speakers will share personal stories of purpose, perseverance, adversity and accomplishment. The event will begin with a breakfast presentation by Jeff Gill, a former geologist for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment who founded Tallgrass Brewing Co. in 2007, now the largest craft brewer in Kansas. Luncheon Keynote Chelsea Berler, Solamar Marketing, LLC, is an author and owner of a boutique marketing agency, based in Birmingham, Alabama, that supports businesses around the world.
Local guest speakers include Lonnie Walker Jr., Family Service & Guidance Center; Jeremy Snowden, American Family Insurance; Edward Moege, HHB BBQ, LLC: Andrea Engstrom, ActionCOACH; Jared Starkey, 712 Innovations; Joseph Pennington, Stevenson Co., Inc.; and Matt Deutsch, Berberich Trahan & Co.
